MEETS
DVTFC participates in two types of meets: Mini-Meets and USATF Youth Meets.

Mini-Meets are informal, half-day practice meets with 2 - 4 other local USATF youth clubs where athletes can gain early season competition experience in a low-key setting and can enter any number of track or field events.
USATF Sanctioned Youth Meets are large, multi-club, competitive meets (typically all-day long) for more experienced track athletes to compete against age group members of other Northern California USATF youth clubs.
All meets DVTFC plans to attend as a team are listed on the Calendar (dvtfc.org) page of the web site.

2025 FEES
The 2025 Spring track program fee is $525 per athlete, with a $100 discount for each additional sibling athlete.  Fees include insurance, facilities permits/rentals, coaching stipends, equipment, supplies, and all meet entry fees.

UNIFORMS
Competition singlets (with black shorts) are required for purchase for all athletes entering meets and are to be ordered through our online uniform supplier.  Uniform ordering info will be distributed at the end of the first week of practice.

SHOES
Athletes should wear good quality running shoes with sturdy heel counters, good mid-sole cushioning,  and correct sizing:
  • Buy shoes with running in mind.  Shoes worn to school will not last the season and maintain their protective cushioning.
  • Do not send your athlete to practice with tennis, "cross training", fashion or sports shoes that lack the appropriate cushioning or flexibility.
  • For meets, "spikes" may benefit sprinters and jumpers and distance runners may benefit by wearing racing flats.  However, we advise athletes to consult with our coaches before investing in competition footwear.
ONLINE USATF AND DVTFC REGISTRATION (NEW!)
This is the first year both USATF membership and DVTFC registration are to be completed online by a parent or guardian.

The Spring Track registration is a two-step process:
  • STEP 1: renew or obtain a valid 2025 USATF Youth Membership for your athlete
  • Step 2: complete the 2025 DVTFC Spring Track registration process on the DVTFC web site (powered by SportsEngine)

Click Online Registration Info and Forms for both USATF membership instructions and DVTFC registration. (NOTE: a valid 2025 USATF membership is required for Spring Track)

Due to coaching availability, we anticipate limiting Spring athlete membership to 85 athletes. Registration will remain open as long as space remains available.

You will receive a confirming email once registration info is processed.
